Big Beach Marathon, Half Marathon & Safari 5K

The Big Beach Marathon returns to beautiful Gulf Shores, Alabama on January 24–25, 2026! This fast, flat, and scenic race weekend winds through the fully paved trails of Gulf State Park, making it a favorite for runners chasing views and PRs.

Sunday features the marathon and half marathon, starting and finishing beachside at The Hangout—an iconic spot with Gulf views that set the perfect backdrop for race day. The weekend also includes the Safari 5K and Family Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, great for all ages or for runners looking to double up with two days of racing.
